JAMBOREE – 26th World Jamboree in Poland

1st Grundisburgh Scout Group, along with our associated Explorer Unit called Fynn Valley, are pleased to say that 3 of our Young Members have been selected to attend the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland during the Summer of 2027.

Neve, Sophie and Rebecca were selected from various members within Suffolk to be part of a Team of 36 children that will represent the UK as part of Unit 61 Suffolk Scouts.

Under the theme “Bravely,” the 26th World Scout Jamboree will celebrate 120 Years of Scouting and bring together over 50,000 Scouts aged 14–17, plus adult volunteers, for a special 10-day celebration of cultural exchange, adventure, and global friendship.

Located on Wyspa Sobieszewska (Sobieszewo Island), near the City of Gdańsk, the size of the campsite will be 300 hectares (about 740 acres) with the Baltic Sea one side and forests to the other side. There they will work as a team, experience different activities and cultures from across the World, visit the City and meet new friends from the Scouting Family.

To attend this ultimate Scouting Adventure they have been working hard on fundraising the £3400 cost per person to go. However they have not reached their target yet and are looking for more support………

So can you help them achieve their goal by donating on behalf of your business or individually? Perhaps you know someone else that might be able to donate and get our Young Members to the most significant event in the global Scouting Movement. We would love to hear from you so please email us at: jamboree@grundisburghscouts.org.uk
