Explorers are the oldest member of the Scouting family that we have available for young people in Grundisburgh. The Fynn Valley Explorer unit is a combination of other scout groups in the local area and is based at the Scout Hut, in Grundisburgh. The Explorers wear beige shirts and a group necker (red, yellow, purple and blue).
Any member of the Explorer Unit is eligible to become a young leader and help out at other section meetings. Young people often use this to gain the ‘Volunteering’ Section of their Duke Of Edinburgh award. For information on the Young Leaders Scheme please use the following link. http://members.scouts.org.uk/supportresources/search/?cat=9,98
There are various different camps through the calender and the opportunity to try different activities such as, High Fires, Cooking, Incident Hikes, Swimming and Chips and many campfires.
