The 1st Grundisburgh Scout Group was originally formed in 1921 but the records other than this have been lost.
In 1936 the Group was established again however due to the Second World War it was disbanded.
In 1956 the Group was reformed and since then for over 50 years has provided scouting to Grundisburgh and the surrounding villages.
In 1963 a building in the village was transported to the Grundisburgh Playing Field and since then it has been the Headquarters for all our Scouting adventures and activities up to the present date.
How to find us
From Woodbridge, Wyevale Roundabout, continue on the B1079 heading towards Grundisburgh, when you then enter Grundisburgh the B1079 takes a sharp righthand turn, but you must turn left (technically it is straight on!) and enter the village centre. Go past the Pub and the Village Green and continue towards the Ipswich direction, as you go up a very long hill, just before you leave the village, there is a small entrance between a bungalow and a new house on the left hand side, drive down this entrance and it goes into the playing field car park, park here and you will see our Scout Hut in the far left hand corner of the field and which you will need to walk over to.
